Martin Harvolk

Since September 2024 Martin Harvolk works as a student assistant at the Chair of Planetary & Public Health at the University of Bayreuth.

After finishing high school, he completed a voluntary social year and then trained as a paramedic. Currently, he is in the clinical phase of his medical studies at MCO and works part-time in emergency services in Regensburg. He also freelances for a publishing house, where he writes about medicine, economics, and digitization.

One of his most formative experiences was an internship abroad in Nepal, which he followed with a training program in Germany aimed at improving pre-hospital care in Nepal. This experience sparked his interest in global healthcare systems. After completing his medical degree, he plans to pursue further education in public health to advance other projects.

In his free time, he enjoys exploring the Fichtelgebirge on his road bike, traveling, and learning about new cultures.
