Chioma Cynthia Ozuluoha

Chioma Cynthia Ozuluoha, since January 2025, is a student assistant at the Chair of Planetary and Public Health at the University of Bayreuth. With a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Uyo, Nigeria and having worked in public and private health sectors in Nigeria, she is currently pursuing a masters in Environment, Climate Change and Health at the University of Bayreuth.
Her earliest connection to tackling climate change-related issues dates to her involvement in a ‘Speak Out Stand Up’ community project in Nigeria where she carried out in-person interviews, administered questionnaires, prepared situation reports and engaged community leaders and stakeholders on improving living conditions of people living in flood-risk areas. This spurred her interest in strengthening health systems through health policy, research, advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
She intends to work as a climate and health policy consultant for the United Nations Framework on Climate Change Convention to develop frameworks and strategies that will guide climate-resilient health policies and strengthen global health systems but in the meantime, she finds purpose in presenting her ideas at scientific conferences, exploring new countries and meeting new people.
